John is the CTO at Allen & Overy. Before joining Allen & Overy, John previously was the CTO at the Financial Times and at the Wall Street Journal building technology and data solutions to fundamentally change digital reach and drive subscription growth as well as being Chief Architect at BBC News and Sport and TalkTalk.

Tony is a passionate advocate for the technology function to achieve truly transformative results when committed to a business and user centric outcome. He has successfully built and led large, international technology teams in both the retail and media sectors. Most recently he was responsible for the International (everything outside of North America) Technology group at 20th Century Fox. During his time at Fox, Tony oversaw digital, data and cloud transformation initiatives that equipped the International business teams to successfully evolve in a constantly changing and disrupted industry landscape.
