Barbara Gottardi , CIO Europe, Vanguard Europe
Barbara Gottardi recently appointed as Chief Information Officer for Europe at Vanguard. Previously at HSBC where she spent 16 years where she has held a number of senior leadership roles in different areas during her 16 years, including Investment Banking, Asset Management and, for the last several years, Retail Banking & Wealth Management. She also spent 2 years in the Legal department as Chief Risk Admin officer. In her most recent role, Barbara was the CIO for Retail Business Banking and Channels where she had responsibility for leading the global contact centre, self-service estate (including ATM) and CRM/frontline tooling teams.

I strive to develop solutions and people to make a measurable and significant positive impact to society. I've spent the last 15 years managing businesses, developing products and creating marketing strategies to support these. With experience in FMCG, utilities, financial services and not for profit sectors I have worked with physical, service and digital products. Along this journey I have seen best practice, worked for some great leaders, and seen the explosion and impact of digital and the growth of the regulator. I'm currently Global Head of Retail Business Banking for HSBC based in London and before this worked in retail banking across Europe, Africa and North America.
Event Chair: Tori Berry, Group Head of Branch Optimatisation, HSBC
Tori Berry is currently acting as the Group Head of Branch Optimatisation, leading large scale digital and physical transformation across the HSBC Branch network. Prior to this she was Group Head of Digital Sales, based in London and has worked for HSBC for the past 7 years. Where she is responsible for looking at the interactions of customers between online and physical offline channels partnering primarily with Digital, Branches and Contact Centre. Her experience at HSBC has primarily been in delivering large scale retail banking transformations across a number of markets (France, China, Malta, Australia, Canada and India) but was also involved in the launch of the Retail Business Banking Proposition, Fusion across key markets. She is a lead for Diversity and Inclusion across the HSBC, owning the Gender plan for Wealth and Personal Banking, launching a Diversity & Inclusion Influencer Programme creating a 2000 FTE strong community and leads Marketing and Communication for the Gender Employee Resource Group across HSBC as a whole. Prior to HSBC she spent 5 years working at Royal Bank of Scotland delivering large scale Lean/Agile Transformations across Contact Centres, Branches, Private Banking, Commercial Banking and Risk in partnership with McKinsey.
