I’ve worked as an IT professional for over 15 years, first in an engineering role and then in the events industry. During that time, the business environment has changed dramatically, as has the pressures on IT. I have demonstrated clear leadership and project management skills, including managing and motivating others to achieve set deadlines/budgets and corporate objectives.

My engineering background ensures I’m versatile, with strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to think around problems and provide a clear solution.

12 years ago, we embraced “cloud services”, moving our IT systems from multiple on premise data-centres into a hosted environment. This has resulted in
• Reduced IT expenditure by over 50% (excluding inflation)
• Increased system availability, performance and capacity

My main specialties are –
• Strategic IT development and management within the organization
• Outsourcing of delivery of business-critical IT services via Citrix and Terminal Services based managed services (Hybrid cloud), including contract and SLA negotiations
• Specification, development and implementation of database driven, web-based applications
• Managing the internal IT team to ensure all deadlines are met and on-target
